you are bidding on a nice old antique oil and gasoline automobile service station dealer advertising thermometer sign from the standard oil company.it is for red crown gasoline/polarine motor oil and is a porcelain sign.the newest date i could find on the standard oil company thermometer is 1921.the sign is about 6 feet tall and 18 inches wide.the sign looks like it has been inside as it is very bright and displays good.t are some scratches and scrapes and does have some porcelain chips.the original wooden sides are t but the top and bottom parts of the frame are missing and easily replaced.the thermometer itself is broke and needs to be replaced and they do reproduce them.a neat sign to have on the wall of your garage with your other automotive advertising signs and thermometers.it is being sold as-is and being old,used and with the noted defects.shipping will run 100.00 anyw in the continental usa due to the heavy weight and it needing to be well packed.insurance is available and extra.if you live close to me shipping might be cheaper.look the picture over closely and if you have any questions,please email me before you bid and i will try and answer them.i am not an expert on signs so know what you are bidding on.again you are buying it as it is so please know what you are bidding on.thanks.rose.
