is an amusing medical quackerydevice from the 1920's, called "RenuLife". Great conversation piece. This 38 Watt device was made in Detroit, Michigan, by "RenuLife Electric Company". It works on the same principle as those novelty glass globes with the colored lightning bolts radiating through the gas inside that are attracted to your hand and whenever you touch it, it gives a little tingle. This device has five blown glass attachments of various shapes filled with some sort of neon type gas that glows a beautiful purple when a current is passed through it. It is quite striking, when tested in a dark room and the light is attracted to your fingers and skin with a slight crackle as you touch it. The current is adjustable from low to high with the highest setting giving the most tingle. I have tried it and it provides the sort of electrical stimulation that might cause someone to think it was doing some sort of good. According to the instructions (which I do NOT have with this) , several of it's many uses and claims to fame, is to stimulate and rejuvenate the skin making wrinkles in the face disappear and stmulate the hair follicles in the scalp to create a thicker head of hair.
