Original 1920's Seagrave Fire Engine Truck cloisonne radiator badge in very good condition. It measures 3 in. by 2 1/8 in. and the white, red and blue cloisonne are chipped. The rear attachment hardware is missing, and at some point, someone tried to effect repairs with white paint. Seagrave started building fire equipment in 1910 and as far as I know, still builds fire trucks today. I take great care to describe my items carefully. Please check the pictures and email me with any questions. I do not pretend to be infallible about dates and models, and will amend my descriptions if I am sent more accurate information. I am in the process of completing a comprehensive book about automotive emblems and emblem collecting, which I will eventually market on the internet. I limit my dating of emblems to my own experience or the experience of other collectors whose experience and judgment I trust. Unfortunately, t's such a wide disparity of dates, that I ultimately only feel completely sure if I can see the emblem myself on the radiator of the car involved and can be sure of that car's date. T were so many prototypes and variations made (for example, some companies provided black emblems for funeral cars), that a truly complete listing or something even close, may be impossible.
