Antique 1920's signed Pittsburgh cast iron lamp with reverse & obverse painted shade, vintage ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This is an early 20th century 20 inch signed Pittsburgh cast iron lamp. The letters "PLB & G Co" are on the inside of the bottom~ see my picture below. Those letters actually stand for Pittsburgh lamp, brass and glass company. This is an extremely heavy cast iron lamp which is in excellent condition. It has double pullchain sockets and has been rewired. The original plug is marked "bryant" and is still on. The lamp works. The reverse and obverse painted shade is mushroom shaped and has no cracks or chips. The shade measures 14 inches by 6 inches high. The top opening is 1 1/2 inches in diameter. T is minimal paint loss. Some wear around the top edges. It's gorgeous when lit. Much prettier in person than my pictures. The finish is gold tone on the body. The main colors in the shade are varying degrees of greens, browns, and golds.
