THE PHOENIX BIRD PATTERN IS 1920'S ART NOUVEAU. Made by Whitehall-Wilton in Worcester, MA. and sold in Tiffanys & Co NY. This rug came from an estate in prestigious Northeast Harbor on Maine's Mount Desert Island. It measures 9' by 12' plus a 6" fringe on each end. It has four lengthwise panels sewn together. Each panel has the words "Anglo Persian" woven in on the back. Selling with no reserve! CONDITION: We have not cleaned this rug, it is just as we found it. About 3' of the seam on the lower middle is a bit thread bare. The upper left border has a worn area. T is a very narrow rust colored stain about 24" long running lengthwise near the top. Buyer must arrange shipping or pickup locally. We will be glad to prepare this item for shipping.
