For auction is a beautiful anddetailed example of a desirable and obvious die variety, the 1921-D VAM-1Q aka T die break top or Pompadour T silver United States Morgan or Liberty Head Dollar (KM-110, 38.1mm, 90% Ag 26.73g, average silver weight: .78 troy ounce) struck by the US Branch Mint at Denver. Read the entry below, copied from the excellent educational numismatic site VAM World to learn more about this and other die varieties: 1921-D VAM-1Q "Pompadour T - Die Break T, Top" Discovered by Jim Hart, June 2001 1Q IV 1 D2a (Die Break T Top) (189) I-2 R-6 Reverse D2a - Die crack thru tops of STATES OF extending left to wing tip and denticles with small die break at top of second T in STATES. The VAM-1Q appears to be quite rare in mint state. Even circulated coins are tough to find. This reverse die had scribbling scratches earlier in its die life, but they became worn by the time the variety reached the stage with all of the breaks. The EDS stage was listed for a while as the 1921-D VAM-1CH. Please feel free to inquire directly about this or any item that I have listed for auction. Your interest in my item is most welcomed. I have been a collecting since about 1967, thus I am firstly a collector and secondly a seller (usually of duplicate items). As such, I understand your concerns and am quite easy with which to work.
