I purchased this coin from the Heritage Coins inventory about ten years ago, from the elite 'Jim Halperin Exceptional' section of coins with outstanding eye appeal. I was looking for a 1921 peace dollar with great color, and this was it! Luster just drips from this coin. But best of all is the color: a uniform PINK champagne color in ambient light, it goes to plain gold/champ agne in bright light. T he strike is good for this high relief year, a mark in the fields to the left of Liberty's lips probably kept it from MS65 and a much higher price tag. I was not able to capture the pink phase with my photos, though the reverse ph oto hints at it. It may be worth submitting this for the '+' designation with PCGS. I should add that I have other auctions going on several very PQ and eye appealing coins including a Draped Bust Half Cent and Coronet Cent. Really, I am selling some extraordinary stuff this week , the best of my U.S. co ins. Affordable but exceptional. Payment by Paypal only please.
