You are bidding on a 1921 PILGRIM TERCENTENARY Commemorative Half Dollar. The coin was bought at a local coin show in Houston, Texas from a dealer. To commemorative the landing of the Pilgrims at Plymouth, Massachusetts, in 1620. Congress authorized a special half dollar on May 21, 1920. Cyrus E. Dallin, a Boston sculptor, executed the designs furnished to him by the commission. His initial D is placed below Bradford's elbow. The obverse has a portrait of Governor Bradford: the reverse shows the Mayflower . This coin stuck in 1921 show that date in addition to 1620 - 1920 . See scans below, FREE SHIPPING.
