1922 $20 GOLD CERTIFICATE NEAR GEM UNC. For auction is this absolutely stunning 1922 Twenty Dollar Gold Certificate. Gold Certificates and bullion were declared illegal to own in 1933 as President Roosevelt abolished the gold standard. This particular note is near gem condition as it is very crisp with no rips, tears, pinholes. It features razor sharp edges, nice full margins and excellent color.
