Features hundreds of built and designed projects by Philadelphia architects -- mostly located in Phila. and surrounding Pennsylvania area -- depicted in beautiful b/w photographs and Beaux Arts renderings (printed on one page side only). Architects include Mellor Meigs and Howe; Paul Cret, more. Residential buildings include houses and estates in Germantown, Laverock, St. Martin's, Ogontz, Chestnut Hill, Swarthmore, and more. Shop of Samuel Yellin, Ironworker, is depicted. Includes public, religious, and collegiate buildings (Chester County Hospital, New Franklin Field Stadium - University of Pennsylvania, Valley Forge Memorial Chapel, Princeton University buildings, Detroit Institute of Arts, Kansas City memorial competition, many more. Another section features interior and exterior photos and floor plans of Stenton Mansion in Germantown. Altogether, an excellent survey of 1922 architecture in the Philadelphia area. Hardcover, 256 pages, 11 x 9". Very good+ condition; some very light wear to covers, age toning to spine, interior flawless.
