Up for auction is "A Line A Day" Diary / Journal from 1923.Inscription on inside front cover reads: To Evelyn From Daddy Graduation Day June 13th, '23 Diary starts on January 1st and tells of the life and times of a young women, and dating in the 20's: "Starting the New Year with Web certainly has kept me going. He's such a peach, and simple darling to go out with. He's asked me to the Deke formal!..." Diary ends on December 31, and details Evelyn's First New Years Eve Party: "Today has been a day I will never forget. It being the first time I was old enough to celebrate New Years Eve and the first time Mother had said I might go to the Rainier Club..." Approx 3/4 of the diary is filled in with 264 pages of entries. Cover shows some signs of wear, but all pages are intact and no torn or missing pages. Good luck bidding, and thanks for looking!
