Up for auction is a complete and very early issue of THE PHYSICAL REVIEW: A Journal of Experimental and Theoretical Physics Conducted by the American Physical Society, for February 1923. Volume 21, Number 2. pp. 107-215. Pages of illustrated ads front and rear. A rare find from the dawn of atomic and quantum physics, with significant and early publications by renowned physicists. This issue includes Ionization of Potassium Vapor by Light , by R.C. Williamson Secondary Electron Emission from Copper and Copper Oxide , by Lawrence E. McAllister Application of the Electron Theory to the Hall Effect , by John A. Eldridge Crystals of the Alkali Halides; Precision Measurements . by Wheeler P. Davy Velocity of Sound in Sea Water , by E.P. Stephenson and others. Issue is in good condition , with main defect being loss to the paper at the foot of the spine, and light staining along spine edge of front cover.
