This is a window card from the Alice Comedies Series produced by Walt Disney between 1923 and 1927. T were a total of 57 cartoons produced, and this represented number 10 in that series. It is my understanding that these window cards were issued in pink, blue, or yellow. It measures roughly 11 1/4'' X 15 1/8''. The title is "Alice and the Three Bears", and is pictured in John Grant's book about the history of the company and characters. The picture in the book came from the archives w they have another card. According to the archives, this is the only other "Three Bears" known to exist. Now the down side. It was folded in half, image side out, and spent many decades in an attic. It is fairly rough, although I suppose it would be difficult to dispute its authenticity. T is also "creasing" on the lighter (left) side through the center, along with staple holes & overall eneven toning. It has been restored by the Intermuseum Conservation Association (formerly) of Oberlin College, so this is as good as it is going to get. The original black backing has been removed and has been hinged to a mat. T is a list of other treatments that were done, but I will not list them all Since it is only in fair condition, I figured I would throw in a card of buttons from a long time collection. So is the bonus. Two buttons from the wedding dress of Mrs. Flora Call Disney, mother of Walt Disney. Now of course you are thinking "yeah right'', and I would not blame you, but is the rest. T are two other sets of buttons. The first is a pair from the wedding dress of Jessie Call Perkins, who was Walt's aunt. The archives claims Jessie married Albert Perkins and they lived in Paisley Florida, w she served as Postmistress. The third set belonged to Mrs. O.N. Perkins who I have not done any research on. Flora's buttons measure roughly 1/2'' square and are made of "gutta percha" (thermoplastic), and are inlaid with mother of pearl. I have never seen a picture of Flora in her wedding dress, but I will tell you this card is old, unaltered, with the exception of what I wrote on the back the day I purchased these. In red ink "Estate of Clara Wolbaugh of Wooster Oh. 11-5-99. She began collecting buttons in 1939 as part of a merit badge program for the 4-H club. Of the thousands of buttons in the collection, these were the only ones identified. She passed away in her eighties having never been married, and having no direct descendants outside of cousins her own age. All the proceeds from the sale went to charity." The previous owners information I gleaned from a member of her church who attended the sale. I am of the opinion that someone worked very close to Disney that lived in this area, or perhaps was related to him. I am also of the opinion that the window card belonged to Ub Iwerks, perhaps his desk copy, but that is speculation on my part. I have a pile of restoration documents, correspondence, etc. that I will provide COPIES of, and t is more information t that I did not list , and I am sure t is much more to be discovered by someone more patient than I. I accept only personal checks or money orders and of course shipping and insurance is up to you. I can't fiqure out how to get around the "I accept paypal". That is why it is still listed. Almost every listing says how rare their item is, and of course ask a quarter mil. I have never seen anything pre-Mickey on E-bay so now is your chance to own some very unique items. Good luck
