This is a neat old business envelope for the E.A. Smith & Company, Incorporated, Baltimore, Maryland. Packers and Shippers of Raw Oysters. The back of the envelope has some neat graphics of an oyster shell with a sailboat in the middle of it, and reads in part; " Smith's Fresh Raw Oysters" " Pure and Wholesome," Smith's Baltimore Oysters. The front of the envelope has the graphic of an Oyster Tin with the name E.A.Smith & Company, Raw Oysters, Smith's Baltimore Oysters. Also on the front is the name of the company which recieved the correspondance; Messrs. Gray & Waller, Elliott, Md. The postmark on the front reads; Baltimore, Md.,Nov.3,1924. The envelope has some general wear, has been torn to open down the righthand side, other than this is in good condition. If you collect items related to the Seafood Industry / Oysters / Oyster / E.A.
