Rare & ORIGINAL “VARIATIONS” French Artist Edouard BENEDICTUS Beautiful Art Deco Portfolio- 1924 Paris France Elephant Folio 19” x 14.5” Original pochoirs in folio- Loose as issued. Individual boards. Hand finished. Vibrant hand-colored through stencil by Jean Saude. Gorgeous bright rich colors with some highlighted in metallic gold and silvering. 19 Boards Associated with SEGUY Multi-talented in the field of graphic design, Edouard Benedictus (more bio below) created beautiful albums of textile and wallpaper designs in the Art Deco style using pochoir coloration. Decorative Art, Dramatic exotic images. Deep Vivid Rich, Sumptuous Colors, Brilliant, Bright & Bold Patterns Motifs Textile Designs Nature Floral Flowers Botanical Abstract. Gouache. Each print is a piece of art on its own and ideal for framing. (Individual plates are known to sell from $200 to $400). CONDITION: Missing one plate. Looks like they have all been rebacked onto cardboard. They should be matted onto black instead. See what a difference that will make (in photos below). Ideal for framing. Cover not in good condition. All images bright color not faded. Some have dirt or browning/foxing mostly visible in the middle margin areas. Fair condition. 3 or 4 have rips or tears.
