Welcome to SlabWorthy - Great American Coins of the Highest Quality. This listing is for a 1924-S Standing Liberty Quarter Dollar graded AU 50 Details by ANACS. This design has 3 stars below the eagle, and is the last year before the date was recessed. Only 2,860,000 1924-S quarter coins were minted making it moderately rare, especially in uncirculated condition. All the major features on the obverse and reverse are sharp as expected for this grade. The photos show that it is a beautiful specimen, with small traces of wear on the head and shield on the obverse. T is subtle gold toning on the left wing feathers on the reverse. All U.S. Quarters minted in 1924 contain .18084 oz. of pure silver. ANACS believes that the coin has been "Cleaned" at some time during the past 85 years.
