1924 Towle Louis XIV 90 Piece Sterling Flatware Set

Towle For auction is this beautifully designed Towle Flatware Set. The pattern is known as "Louis XIV" and extends from the tip of the handle down the arm of each item as shown in the photos provided. The flatware set is sterling and each piece is stamped to that effect. Some read: "TOWLE Stainless, Sterling Handle Pat. 1924", "Sterling Pat. 1924 T", or "Sterling". All of the pieces are in great condition but could use a professional polishing. It comes inside a green textured case with a zip & snap flip-top lid. The case does have a brown felt lining protecting the flatware. The brown felt lining reads: Made by Gorham with Pacific Silver Cloth, Reg. U.S. Pat. Off., Prevents Tarnish. T are 90 pieces in total. Included are: 12 ea. Dinner Knives 8-3/4" 12 ea. Salad Forks 6-14/" 11 ea. Dinner Forks 7-1/4" 2 ea. Serving Spoons 8-1/4" 12 ea. Spoons 5-7/8" 12 ea. Larger Spoons 7" 4 ea. Iced Tea Spoons 7-7/8" 17 ea. Butter Spreaders 5-3/8" 1 ea. Jelly Serving Spoon 6-1/2" (Could also be used for Sliced Lemon Server, Meat Patties or Stuffed Vegetables) 1 ea. Pie Server 9-3/4" 1 ea. Bon Bon / Nut / Cucumber / Tomato Server 5-1/2" (It is slotted) 1 ea. Olive & Pickle Fork 6-3/8" 1 ea. Lemon Fork 5-3/8" 1 ea. Carving Knife 9-7/8" 1 ea. Carving Fork 8-7/8" 1 ea. Textured Case described above 18-1/2"W x 11"D x 2-3/4"H The Serving Fork, Serving Knife and Pie Server do have a monogram on the handle. I believe the letter is a Roman "S". Please look at the pictures for detail. All other pieces do not have a monogram. These would be a wonderful set for any collector or anyone starting their flatware set. The quality is excellent and design remarkable. Thanks for taking the time to look.
