is a very rare and unusal antique Quack Medicine machine that came from circa 1924. It is a wonderful addition to your vintage medical, electrical, or unusal item collection. It is The Master Violet Ray machine and it is complete and best of all in excellent working order... (Yes - I did test it on me). This item has been in my family for over 80 years. It belonged to my grandfather who was born in 1893. He bought it when he was told it would cure his aches and pain as a result his work as a laborer. I was told he bought it in 1924. At that time it was the family cure for most ailments. I found in the attic of the old house w it stored for at least 75 years. You can tell from the pictures of the electrical cord that it is truly old. All the items: the glass wand, the base, the adjustable power generator and the wiring are in super condition. Everything works. This set even includes the original direction book that came with the Violet Ray. The Master Electrical Company of Chicago was the manufactor. The book is complete and free from damage. T is normal wear on the book but no damage, writing of loss of pages. The direction book is 30 pages long: complete with original pictures from the 1920's, methods for use of the machine and how to use it to cure headaches, Lumbago, Rheumatism, Insomnia, and more. The book also includes other items that could be purchased to enhance the machine. According to the instructions - this model was Violet Ray No. 10A. The set is complete and comes in the original box. The box is a fine quality with the original red lined silk. The lid of the box does have some seperation at some of the seams and t is some tape on some of the corners. The box measures about 13 inches by 6 inches by 4 inches. I have included 12 pictures with this listing so you can see all that is included and the wonderful display condition. The dark picture with a slight blue light is a image of the machine running with the room lights off. This picture was taken at a low setting on the generator - as you turn the generator up the image becomes brighter. This is a rare working and complete Violet Ray machine that is being offered for NO RESERVE. Winning bidder to pay $14.00 for insured Fedex shipping in the USA. Fedex does not ship to PO boxes.. Post office box shipping will be via Priority mailing and will be $15.00 but will not include insurance..Optional insurance for priority mailing will be an extra $2.00
