1925-D Gold Quarter Eagle, 2 1/2 Dollar Indian! AU Condition!! Rare Lamination Error! Up for auction is a 1925-D $2.50 Gold Quarter Eagle . This coin is raw and ungraded but I would say that it is in near AU condition. The unique thing about this coin is it's lamination error right in front of the Indians face. I brought it to a dealer and he concurred it was a lamination error, and not a scratch. The only issues with the coin is one nice ding on the rim of the obverse in between the 4th and 5th star going clockwise. There is also an extremely small ding on the rim of the reverse near the "A" in America. I have both pictured. They are not too bad, but they would be the only issue with the AU grade, as everything else seems to be AU details. I just want to point out any flaws so there are no surprises when the coin is received. However the coin is still gorgeous, with a beautiful mint error!
