Up for auction is a Vintage aluminum round coal miners 3 piece lunch pail bucket with a wooden bail handle, PLUS; 4 Rockhill Coal & Iron Company check stubs envelope? dated 1926 and 1927 to Herb Shope. This miners lunch bucket may have been used by the previous owner in the Rockhill Coal & Iron Company mines in the Robertsdale area. I'm not sure if these pieces of paper are check stubs, envelopes or what they are because they are faded and hard to make out what is printed on them. But what I can make out looks like it reads; "CREDITS "and under credits it has; Tons Coal, Yards, Cars, Days, and Total, then it reads "CHARGES " and under charges it has; Rent, Fuel,Smithing,Railroad Tickets,Union Checks OFF, and Lights, TOTAL, then it has NET EARNINGS, STORE and BALANCE DUE. T is writing with pencil on these that was filled in. These check stubs envelopes are made out to Herb Shope. Since these papers were inside the lunch bucket I'm assuming that the lunch bucket may have belonged to Herb Shope and he worked in the mines in the Rockhill Coal & iron Company mines in the Robertsdale area and rode the East Broad top Rail Road from Saltillo, Pa to Robertsdale, Pa. These papers are dated 1926 and 1
