Here is a rarely seen 1926 German all-bisque 5" (13cm.) "Bonnie Babe" doll designed by Georgene Averill with George Borgfeldt as the distributor, and Alt, Beck, and Gottschalk as the doll's head maker. The doll has a solid domed bisque swivel head, very plump face, brown sculpted hair, accented nostrils, painted lashes, open mouth, two porcelain lower teeth, and loop jointed bisque arms and legs. He has blue gray glass sleep eyes, and painted white socks and pink shoes. There is a mark impressed on the inner leg 897 / 17.The outfit may or may not be orginal, and has wear and discoloration. He has light surface wear. All joints appear to be working properly, swivel head functions correctly, and sleep eyes work fine (I included 2 pictures of him "asleep"). Please feel free to ask questions, as we are not doll experts. Doll will be packed with gentle care, and the package will be insured for the final bid amount. PLEASE NOTE: We have a BABY BO-KAYE DOLL currently on auction ! We would be happy to package the two dolls together to save you on shipping if you are the lucky winner of both dolls.Posted with eBay Mobile
