Offered is an original 1928 Woodcut block print titled "Hall Bedroom", by artist Helen West Heller (1872-1955 New York, N.Y.). This beautiful, detailed print, is signed with HWH, in the lower left image printed, but parts are not readable or did not come through when printed. Also, I only have the title and date due to research where I discovered an exact image by Helen West Heller of this same image, and it was titled "Hall Bedroom" and dated 1928. Please do your own research to confirm. This is an original woodcut block print by her, that is part of a collection of 9 original prints, that I am selling. The plate size is 1 11/16" x 1 15/16", with paper size at 3 11/16" x 4 9/16", on a special (?) thin paper. This amazing original print has provenance by descent to us through our family member artist Mary Hicks. Helen West Heller was born in Rushville, IL in 1872, and was interested in art at an early age. She was an artist, poet and activist, and was regarded as a leading graphic artist. The condition of the print is good; there is a light crinkle/crease near the left lower corner that does not go into the image (please see pictures, as you can see the condition well on the back side picture of the print).
