1929 Haverstock School Girls Diary of a Buckinghamshire Holiday Written by a young Susie Macdonald “School Journey to Andridge 1929 Diary”, 107pp of manuscript text, photographs, picture postcards, pencil drawings and printed material taken from a school leaflet to accompany the trip. The journey starts with an uncomfortably hot journey from Paddington to West Wycombe and on to their base for the two week trip at Andridge. The diary finishes with a short poem entitled “ Andridge” written by Susie, and a few photographs including her and three friends, and their farm base at Andridge. A teachers note at the end reads “A very good diary indeed”. Original soft card covered school exercise book with past down label of Haverstock Central School for Girls, Haverstock Hill on the front. Approx. 160x205mm., overall in good condition.
