is a rare RPPC Real photo DOPS stamp box marked post card. This is from a collection that I am selling of the old American U. S. Highways before the Interstate Highway system. Back when you drove the Dixie Highway and the Redwood Highway and the Lincoln Highway and the Skyline Drive and the BLue Ridge Parkway and the Lee Highway and Mohawk Trail and Columbia River Highway and the Pikes Peak Highway the Pacific Highway and the Oregon Coast Highway and teh Roosevelt Highway and all those by-ways and hi-ways before the fassssssssssssssst lanes. It is a circa 1929 uncancelled divided back post card view showing the view of the image. Caption is " as above ......... Save The Redwoods on the Redwood Highway ~~ Patterson ( Photographer ) #842 ". Wonderful very early SAVE THE REDWOODS movement post card view ...... testimonial to the generations of folks who have been trying to do just that !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sierra Club shoudl use this card for their adds from so long ago. Please take a look at my other current auctions as I have a l.arge group of main street views up for sale.
