This is a very rare postcard sent from a particpant at the 3rd World Scout Jamboree held in England during 1929. The card depicts a Hungarian Scout in uniform. It is postmarked August 6th 1929. and is sent to a UK address. The handwritten text reads:- 5/8/29 This is a picture of a Hungarian Scout. The artist is one of the H Scouts in camp at the Jamboree. Note the grass plume all the H Scouts wear it is called 'Orphan girl hair' and reminds them of the terrible times their country has passed through. C. The card was illustrated by the famous Hungarian Scout artist L. Marton. This is a fascinating card sent from the World Jamboree. The card is stained as can be seen from the two scans, however it is very unusual to find a Scout themed postcard sent from this early Jamboree.......
