Late 1930's Slingerland Radio King drumset in stunning original condition. The white marine pearl finish is probably the nicest, whitest example I've ever seen on one of these old RK sets, and all the calf heads are the original Slingerland Supertone logo heads. This set has been played very little in its life, as shown by the small amount of wear on these heads. I also think this set pre-dates the development of the modern tunable tom-tom. The 14 x 28" bass drum is a single tension model and the 8 x 14" snare is an 8-lug 3-ply model. All the nickel plating is in excellent condition, although the clamp-on bass drum spurs show a good amount of surface rust. Absolutely museum quality all the way around! Snare stand is not included in sale, for display only.
This is part of the personal vintage drum collection of Rob Birenbaum, previously the owner of Drum Headquarters in St. Louis, Missouri. I ran the vintage dept. t for many years, & Rob has decided to sell off part of his collection. I'll be listing more vintage items from this collection in the coming days,so keep watching our auctions.
NO RESERVE! Buyer pays all shipping, which could get somewhat expensive with the size of the bass drum. Please ask any questions prior to bidding. Questions? Call Marty at .
