c1930 ANTIQUE SOLID 14K GOLD & WHITE OPAL DANGLE EARRINGS- - NR I am so pleased to offer this beautiful pair of Antique Victorian Revival solid 14 karat gold and White Opal Dangle earrings...they are just beautiful and the white opals have such fire and color.. and they are teardrop shaped dangles.. a fantastic look ! The Opals have fabulous irridescent colors .. fiery reds , greens and blues and they glimmer with every turn.. These have been in my collection for years and would suit the fastidious buyer and are from a retired jewellers stock. Any dark areas appearing in the photos are simply reflection only as these are just so incredibly shiny they picked up every object in the background. The opals look rather dull as the camera did not pick up the fantastic colors in the opal. The start price is not indicative of the items value, I start all my earrings at this price regardless of worth. HISTORY They are Circa 1930 and were sold to me many years ago as old store stock They are stamped on the butterfly clips 14K and have that beautiful antique gold coloring, that rich buttery yellow .. with a hint of rose gold.. unlike the brassy yellow gold of today. . A very classic design and sure to please . DESCRIPTION & SIZING Each earring drop measures 1" in length . The actual Opal dangle measures 5/8" in length..The white opals measure 5/16" in size . .and they have lovely such color and fire. ..lots of stunning reds and greens.. and although very light weight are strong and durable. .perfect for those who do not like overstated jewelry . The fine gold setting enhances the opals beautifully .They weigh approx 2 grams Dont miss this lovely pair...they can be worn with any outfit 24/7 ... Due to their lovely condition these would make a fabulous gift for that special someone. The photos look very brassy , and the opals arent showing their true color and fire.. and looked washed out. but they are so lovely and shiny and the beautiful opals just set this off beautifully for a truly elegant look ....
