Beautiful bronze hood ornament.1930 Car mascot chief in full war bonnet riding on a snail standing 5 inches tall and 7 inches long. The thread on the collar sleeve is strong and will accept a retaining bolt.This unusual and spectacular piece will ship fully protected anyw in the world.Established in 1910 as AEL, the company concentrated on small ornamental bronzes, decorative architectural fittings and, with the spread of the automobile, car mascots. The success of his first mascots enabled them to commission work from some of the best known artists of the day; many existing patterns bear the initials of sculptors such as Frederic Bazin and Charles Paillet. All models are manufactured to the highest standards by a small team of craftsmen. A piece may be produced from an archived pattern or commissioned as a one-off item to a clientâe(tm) specification. A model is hand cast and finished using traditional materials and techniques and may be produced as in Solid Bronze, Nickel Plated Bronze, Polished or Brushed Silver Plate, Gold Plate, or Solid Sterling Silver. Only a few are available with a hand enameled finish.
