In 1928 Croydon Airport was made 'London Airport' taking over from Hounslow. This is the official guide to the New Airport, an Air Ministry publication that is undated but is very early 1930's - the latest date I can find in it is 1931. Fascinating publication with history of the airport, facilities etc and all for the princely sum of 2d. (less than 1p!) Very 1930's cover by W H Scudder, 24 pages with many photographs and explanation and an addition 8 pages of advertisments. I have shown one page of four adverts. with the colour one offering 'to fly you anywhere, anytime in 'luxurious machines, 2,3 & 4 passengers and FIRST CLASS PILOTS'. An historical document in very good condition offered at a starter of £4.99 with FREE postage in the UK . Standard rates overseas.
