Absolutely wonderful circa 1925-1935 original oil on canvas laid down by listed early California artist, Marie Ware. Courtesy of Edan Hughes: Marie Ware was a resident of Los Angeles in 1939-41. While t she studied at Art Center School and was active in the local art scene. Exhibited: Laguna Beach Festival of the Arts, 1939. Measuring an overall approx. 14.5 x 13 1/4, and a viewing area of 6 1/4 x 5, this piece is ready to hang. The artwork is in good condition with only minor wear from previous framing. The solid wood custom frame is in excellent condition with no apparent problems, losses, or repairs. Verso the painting has written: "The Pali, Windward Oahu, Hawaii, Original Oil Painting by Marie Ware". This was part of a series Ware had done on the Hawaiian Islands during a painting foray.
