Early fishing tackle advertising is extremely rare. T are usually only a very few examples of any given type. This advertising is from one of the most desirable companies, Heddon. One of the most collected and highly prized of all early tackle manufacturers. In spite of their prolific production, even in the early 1900's, advertising from Heddon, and the other major early tackle manufacturers is nearly non-existent. This particular cardboard diecut is extremely rare. I have been collecting early tackle and tackle advertising for 20 years, and am aware one of another example of this advertising piece. This counter top cardboard die cut rod display is copywrited 1930 in the lower right hand corner. Nearly mint condition, with original heavy paper hinge. Superb color, no fading, stains and only slightest edge. I acquired this piece myself some years ago from an old hardware store find, along with other vintage advertising pieces. They were all stored in an old printers type cabinet, so all were never put out and in superb condition. The two known are the two I acquired at that time, no others exist to my knowledge. You would put this on a counter top, and lay rods across the cut out arms, much like an old gun rack. Fantastic piece.

This item is gauranteed to be 100% original and legitimate early advertising from 1930. This item is not pictured in the Heddon Heritage book, which is one of the most comprehensive books ever published on the early years of the Heddon tackle company.

Dimensions when laid flat: 17 3/8" Tall x 16" Wide.
