The spine & extremities are faded and the head & tail of the spine are lightly chipped. The binding is rubbed & bumped with a few light stains to the front cover & a white stain to the rear cover. xvi & 422 pages. Illlustrated in black & white with a portrait frontispiece, photographic illustrations and maps, including 2 folding maps in the rear. The hinges are cracked. There is a small crease to the front edge of 1 folding map. Good only.Seventh printing. Inscribed to George F. Bush of the Princeton School of Engineering on the half-title and signed " R. E. Byrd ".
