"The bombardment of Paris in 1918 by the long range guns from 75 or more miles away was unstoppable, until the Great Retreat caused the Germans to return the guns to Germany where they were eventually destoryed and all written information on the design, construction and use of the guns was carefully collected and put away so that no one in the Allied nations would ever see it. It has taken ten years of persistent searching in forgotten files, in places which were thought safely secret, and of painstaking study, to piece together the whole story. Colonel Miller now presents the full story in its proper setting in the great German offensives of 1918. More than half of the story is told from the German side." The colorful Map Endpapers in front show splitting along seam(see pic), but front board holding, rear endpapers are fine, cover shows fading along spine, scratches on back, some on front, pages 15-45 show small wrinkle at lower corner near tip, other pages good with no rips.
