1930 Schwinn Pre War Motorbike

Steel Wrapped Wood Wheels

NO RESERVE

Up for your bidding enjoyment is this 1930 Schwinn Pre War Motorbike. Serial # 445689. I was told that this is a model 110. I don't know much about these "older" older bikes as I have never seen one before, thus, I think it is fair to deduce that this is a VERY RARE vintage bike. What I do know about it is that it has the steel wrapped wood rims with the old fashioned tires, not cushy ballooners. The tires (chain pattern) are a few days younger than dirt...hard as a rock. I do have some red repop 26 X 2.125 tires that I will throw in for the winning bidder. This bike has the old cross-bar handlebars (with bolt on ends), skip tooth sprocket, crank (dated A S 30), 'Planes and Trains Headbadge', original grips (left one is failing), rear drop stand, original fenders (front has a small hole in the middle *light maybe?*), stem, seatpost, etc. It even had a clamp hanging on it (told it is used to wrap your knicker leg so it doesn't get caught in the chain) that I am including. The only question of originality is the paint. Looks correct but is suspect to a re-paint at some time (I really don't know). Let the pictures tell you the story on the paint. I rubbed out a little spot on the rear rim and the chrome still shines nice. T appears to be no breaking of the wood under the steel. All in all, this is an absolute perfect candidate for a restoration as everything is t, or, repack all the bearings, throw some tires on it, and blow your friends away. Remember, this bike is older than a drunk's pick-up lines in a dive bar, and it will still get some action so bid with confidence, bid to own! I will answer any questions to the best of my ability. I will package this bike with care and ship it to the lower 48 via the winning bidders choice of carriers. Absolutely no hidden fees. International bidders, please e-mail me with any questions on shipping. Thank you, have a safe and happy holiday season, and good luck.

*I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO END THIS AUCTION EARLY AS I MIGHT BE STUCK WITH SOME PRE-ARRANGED FAMILY TRAVEL PLANS, BUT HIGHLY DOUBT THEY WILL GO THROUGH.
