1930s Art Deco Silk Black Bias Formal Gown

This stunning evening formal gown is from the high 1930s Art Deco era. It is the most elegant and wearable vintage gown in simple black that can easily be dressed up with some jewels. The dress has incredible tailoring that I have tried to reveal in the photos. It has a simple v neckline and gathered fabric cap sleeves, and a lightly striped and threaded silk fabric. Best of all, the gown is cut on the bias for an amazing slinky fit. It fastens at the side with snaps, and the tailoring is really clever since the line of the snaps follows the curved line of the side seam. In excellent vintage condition and I found 2 extremely tiny pinhead sized holes in front neckline and 3 small holes at skirt bottom near hem. These are completely minor (I had to hold it up against strong light) and do not detract at all from the beauty of this gown. Size extra small 32-24-34.
