This auction is for a 1930's/40's MADAME ALEXANDER 18" COMPOSITION GIRL DOLL. She is wearing what appears to be her original clothes but her dress is not tagged. The material is a peach taffeta with a black velvet bodice and black velvet ties. The three snaps on the back of the dress are square. T is some shredding of the dress on the left side. She is also wearing white lace-trimmed organdy pantiloons. The black velvet boots match but I don't know if they are original. Her original honey blond mohair wig has some of the original set. Her amber eyes are clear, with no eyelid rubs or missing lashes and do not stick. The original face paint looks good with a crack under her left ear. Her neck is marked MME. ALEXANDER. She is not loosely strung. T is light crazing on her body and legs with a light crack on her right foot (I tried to show this in a pix) and a small paint chip missing on her left leg. She has no missing digits. A very pretty older vintage MADAME ALEXANDER doll.
