A vintage prewar American Flyer O gauge train set, including a 3109 engine, two 3171 and one 3172 Pullman cars, track, instructions, Little Jeff transformer, and three original boxes. This set was made in the early 1930s. T are 8 curved tracks and 4 straight tracks, enough to make a few different sizes of circuits. We have one large original American Flyer box for the set, one box for the engine, and one box for the transformer. T is also a track clip for the transformer, not pictured. This should be all the components for a complete train set. We have not tried the train yet to see if it works--I will add this information as soon as I am able to test the set. The 3109 center cab pantograph train engine was produced from 1930-1931. The forward and rear lights are missing. The engine looks to be in otherwise very good condition with very few scratches. The label on the bottom of the engine reads, "Made by American Flyer Mfg. Chicago Illinois Patented." The two 3171 Pullman coach cars look to be in very condition with few scratches. The cars are about 8.5" long. The matching 3172 Pullman observation car attaches to the rear of the coaches. The 50 watt Little Jeff transformer looks to be in very good condition with a perfectly intact cloth power cord. We have been advised to not test the train now but just leave it as-is, as this could possibly damage the train. We have not used or tested the train, and it has been gently handled. The set will be very carefully packed with bubble wrap.
