Here is a super-nice antique art deco mahogany dentalcabinet in its original finish. Not perfect, but close enough to rock your décor. This was the top of the line model and you might never see another one like it for sale…note the beautifully figured mahogany, the carved moulding along the top edge under the aluminum trim, the twin columns of drawers, and the fluting on the vertical black woodwork that functions as drawer pulls. Up on the deck, you’ve got a marbled black Bakelite surface and a storage compartment with its original silver pinstriping on jet black bakelite. Lift up the lid and the storage shelf magically rises to deck level. To the left and right of this section – under the lamp and bust in these photos – the lids lift on hinges to reveal two stationary lead-lined x-ray compartments. To the right of the deck, you’ve got a secret pull-out shelf. The drawers start off shallow and get deeper as they get closer to the bottom of the cabinet. The drawer liners are cream-enameled metal. The dims: H49.5xW37xD15”. Floor to deck is H44.5”. This piece is wicked-cool and perfect to store paper ephemera, jewelry, cutlery, even dvds. Pick-up only. It weighs a zillion pounds. If you buy it, bring two strong humans and a dolly to move it.
