Antique Toy Jewelry Chest Child's Dresser With Mirror This listing is for a beautiful toy jewelry chest designed like a doll or child's dresser. It measures 12 1/2" across; and 21 1/2" tall. It features 2 hand painted drawers with awesome drawer pulls; and a swivel mirror on round columns. The wood finials on the top complete the package. The Grandson of the original owner (Who always knew this to be a toy jewelry box) had the newspaper on the back of the mirror interpreted - I believe it is German. They were told: "... excerpts from popular literary works. ...Richard Voss' novel Der Heilige Haas (Holy Hate, published 1930) about India...against England in 1914. ...these serialized excerpts appeared around the time of publication... a paper published in or soon after 1930.) I will include this information with the chest. Awesome to have the history with this! There are a couple small paint chips; a light mark on the top; and the mirror needs resilvered.
