This is an original sign from the 1930s, made of heavy-gauge steel with a porcelain finish. It reads "UNDERGROUND TELEPHONE CABLE" "BELL SYSTEM" "DO NOT DISTURB." It is about 3 ½" wide and 7" high. These signs were posted outdoors, so they generally turn up with various condition flaws from exposure to sun, snow, gunshots, etc. This one is in way above average condition, as the photo shows. Original grommets, minor edge chipping of the finish, fully-intact graphics, no rust. Displays great with toy Bell Telephone trucks.
