Vintage 1930's Royal portable typewriter. Very early serial No. # P27701 ~If you want to use it~ Item needs cleaned and lubricated. Ribbon is old and dry. The carriage spring drawband was brittle and needs replaced. No other mechanical defects were noted. (I am not an expert, please ask questions) Case can be considered completely worthless, in very bad condition, and having no value. I believe the pictures fairly represent the cosmetic condition of the item. It is obviously not in mint condition. It does display nicely. The blue painted part does have some minor crazing that can't be seen in the pics. ~A little info about the keys~ Very nice antique look with some of the keys showing fading/yellowing. These are the highly sought after thick keys with actual glass inserts. They are also the type that are the easiest to remove the stems from without ruining the keys. They will make your craft project a success. ~If you want the keys only~ I will discount the shipping by $6.00 and clip the stems a couple of inches back from the keys. Final removal of the remaining stem will be the winning bidders responsibility. They will be shipped by usps priority mail, in a small box.
