See the images. Up for auction is a rare 1930's Boy Scouts of America Unifrom Shirt. Short sleeve, size unknown, with very scarce "RED JACKET COUNCIL" community strip, Troop 86 unit patch, patrol leader patch, Eagle Scout patch, 1937 Washington, DC National Jamoree patch and Fox Patrol patch. Shirt condition only "good" with some light staining, overall moderate wear including a few small holes, some with repairs, some without. However, the patches are generally excellent. This shirt belonged to Eagle Scout Harry Etzel of Brockport, New York. (Brockport is a village just west of Rochester). I am offering other material belonging to him, including is Eagle Scout Medal, merit badge sash with 55 mid-1930's wide MBs, photo, BROCKPORT 1935 National Jamboree shirt, etc. Red Jacket Council only existed from 1934 until 1943, when it merged with Rochester Council to form Otetiana Council (now the new Seneca Waterways Council). The famous Indian Red Jacket was a member of the Wolf Clan and it is thought that the Otetiana Council Order of the Arrow Lodge #95, Ty-Ohni, took that Seneca word for "wolf" because of Red Jacket's affiliation with the Wolf Clan. At one point, there was a Red Jacket District in Otetiana Council. NOTE: I am very good about getting my orders out promptly. $6.00 priority postage. PAY PAL is now eBay's "required" payment method. I prefer PayPal. Any questions on that, just contact me. Thanks. George B. Harris, P.O. Box 1136, Alfred, NY 14802.
