From a Baltimore estate: Offered is an original ledger page from the Hyatt Manufacturing Company in Baltimore maker of Ribbon, Enamel & Metal Badges and Photograph, Celluloid & Enamel Buttons. It dates from the 1930s and measures 10 x 15 inches. The ledger was used to catalog button and badge images. This particular page #249 has 19 super images of old fire equipment used in buttons and badges. Some equipment is horse-drawn and others are motorized. The titles include: Young America Hose Co. No. 6 Poughkeepsie N.Y., Oldest Fire Engine In U.S. Built 1741, Lady Washington Hose Co. No. 3 Poughkeepsie N.Y., O.H. Booth Hose No. 2 Poughkeepsie, Phoenix Hose Co. No. 1 Poughkeepsie, and more. The back side is page #250 and contains 17 images - blocks 3749, 3750, and 3751 are original images for two different advertising pocket mirrors from the Hyatt Company itself. 3749 and 3751 feature 4 lovely lady portraits surrounded by American flags with the Hyatt info. on the perimeter. However block 3750 shows the rarest pocket mirror image using a lovely young girl center with Hyatt info. on the perimeter along with "Match Boxes And Mirrors For The Holidays With Your Photograph Or Fancy Design, With Your Advertising Matter." Apparently other ad mirrors were given away to fraternal groups like the Red Men and the F.L.T. - look at blocks 3764 and read more
