This fantastic little typewriter has been thoroughly cleaned and restored. This lovely typer is completely functional. Even the typeface has been painstakingly picked clean of its ink in order to offer a clean impression. It features perfect glossy enamel paint with no visible paint loss or scuffs, proving that its original owner clearly took care of his typewriter. The serial number of OT349462 reveals that this is, in fact, a Royal Standard produced in 1933. This black beauty has been lightly oiled, adjusted and adorned with a brand new black and red ribbon. He is ready to type your thoughts and dreams right out of the box! The "Royal" decals are near-spotless (if not perfect), which is difficult to find on typewriters of this age. The platen (the rubber roller on the carriage) is perfectly smooth and able to grip page after page of typing. The bell faithfully dings after each line of typing and 80 years have aged the keys to a lovely patina of antique yellow.
