RARE 1930s Royal Doulton Tittensor 'The Parson's Daughter' HN 564

On offer a Fantastic Rare Early Royal Doulton 'The Parson's Daughter' Figurine No. HN 564. The figure was designed by H. Tittensor and was issued from 1923 and discontinued in 1949. The tall figure measures 9.5 inches in height (24.1 cms).

The girl is dressed in a multi-coloured checked dress in green, red and yellow squares. The full sleeves are in yellow and her shoulders are covered by a dark red cloak with a matching red bonnet. The girl's face is beautifully painted, as can be seen in close-up scan.

The figure is unusual for Doulton, being made without a base. The backstamp and model number is on the base rim and the impressed date code is under her skirt '4 11 31' dating it to 4th November 1931. The Royal Doulton backstamp is printed in black and the name and number of the model are hand written in black. There is also an impressed number '341'.

This fantastic figurine displays wonderfully and is offered in good used condition for its age, but it has some damage, which could benefit from expert restoration. Her head has been glued in place and the rim of her bonnet has been chipped. There is also overall crazing to the glaze commensurate with age.(please see close-up pictures).

(Please note that any other white marks are caused by camera flash and are not damage.)
