This auction is for a vintage 1930's, tooth ? scrimshaw. The owner said it had been in his family for as long as he could remember, and it was a souvenir from the bay area. One side has the Powell-Hyde cable car , which is engraved under the cable car. On the front of the car, it says Van Ness Ave California Market Streets and a "54". Under the words Powell-Hyde Cable Car , are the initials J A . Under the Golden Gate Bridge, it says San Francisco and under that , are the initials J A. This stands 5 3/8" tall and 3" wide. It is 1 1/2" deep. The cavity underneath is 1" deep. Will combine shipping. Thanks !
