This is a another of my mother's beautiful dolls. Shirley is 13" tall and was always owned by my mother, We have discovered glimpses of my mother's past childhood through the dolls she had kept secreted away all of these years. She was an only child born in 1925 and, apparently, her parents lavished her with dolls and Steiff animals. It appears that this little girl has her beautiful original hair, exceptional onesie trimmed in delicate lace (missing snap or button closure) that is held by a VERY old tiny safety pin. Her little dress is in very good condition and has adorable little mother-of-pearl buttons. All of her fingers and toes are present and in good shape but I have tried to show defects. Her joints are pretty tight but I do not know if they were ever tightened or if she was just well preserved. It appears that her sister, Shirley Temple 15", that I recently listed was the doll most chosen to play with. I am a novice when it comes to dolls so please ask any questions and I will try to answer as quickly and accurately as possible. RESPONSE TO INQUIRY: Hi, thanks for your questions.
