In October 1926 Renwick and A.C. Bertelli revived the Aston Martin name, and formed Aston Martin Motors Ltd, aquired a factory in Feltham Middx, and in time for the 1927 Motor Show, had a new 1.5 ltr car ready, of which two versions were available, (T) for touring, and (S) for sport.The following year at the 1928 Motor Show the "International" was launched. This model was fitted with an open 2/4 seater body, but still using the basic 1.5 ltr engine with dry sump lubrication. Sales were very depressed, and by 1932, the model had been completely revised, and the chassis re-designed and many of the components replaced with "bought in" items, thus allowing the cost to be reduced from almost £600 to £475. In the early 1930's much of the Aston Martin chassis production found it's way into the adjoining factory, where the brother of one of the owners A.C.Bertelli ran a coachbuilding business. Being a fairly small operation, and with Aston Martin factory only producing relatively small numbers of vehicles, the company was able to offer many of it's customers "custom built" models, thus catering for the owners personal tastes and requirements, which resulted in many of the basic models having any number of minor (and in some cases major) modifications.
