Hill, Published By The Security First National Bank Of Los Angeles, 1931, Fourth Edition: This softcover book has 208 pages with black and white photographs of people, places and things in and around Los Angeles on almost every page. This book was first published in 1889 - this is the 1931 fourth edition. The book covers all aspects of the history of the city: Civil War, Mormons, railroads, transportation, education, oil wells, municipal water (Los Angeles Aqueduct), earthquakes, fires, Hollywood, La Brea tar pits, recreation, World War One, Mulholland Highway, subway system, banking, University of California, Boulder Dam, etc. Good condition with some wear to the paper covers, especially around the edges (see pictures). The covers are tight and there are no torn, loose or mising pages - tight and clean with no age foxing.
