THIS IS A RARE BADGE - and it commemorates the visit of Prince George, Duke of Kent (ie to be known as King George VI after the abdication of Edward VIII in 1937). This is probably one of the few surviving souvenirs commemorating the visit of Prince George (at the time second in line to the throne). The badge has an image of Peel Hall in Manchester in the center. An interesting collectable item if you collect royal souvenirs or old items relating to the history of Manchester. It is plastic fronted with an old metal back and pin. Nice condition for its age.
